Our story
The farm has deep roots in history. The Genovesi family has been engaged in agriculture for over four generations. Recent studies in the family archive have confirmed that as early as the mid-nineteenth century, they were producing olive oil, wine, wheat, and raising livestock, also granting them, as was customary until the 1960s, in sharecropping, tenant farming, and colony, to the local farmers.
The current Antonio Genovesi farm was reborn in Boville Ernica in 2021 with the aim of restoring the olive groves and the historic family oil mill, for the production of high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The olive groves cover an area of about four hectares just outside the village of Boville Ernica and are currently in the process of conversion to organic. The oil mill, on the other hand, is located in the historic center of the town and has recently undergone a conservative restoration. It houses the historical museum of oil and olives and is available as a venue for agricultural training courses and tastings.
Already active in 1892, the company has been registered since 2022 in the "National Register of Historic Italian Companies" of UnionCamere.
